Death’s Voice Breathing!
Dangling from a chain, securely wrapped in plastic film, a loudspeaker box
hangs from the ceiling of the exhibition space over the visitors' heads. Exhaling
in panic, the box is visibly struggling for air, in the process constantly
blowing up the plastic sack around it, then pulling it in with a deep inhalation.
As if in a horror movie, the loudspeaker box visibly fights for its survival
on behalf of all protagonists, and so acquires human characteristics. Only,
it is not a living being that is dying here with loud death rattles, it is
the tone itself, whose air is slowly and repeatedly being throttled.
